Overview: A series of filmed interviews will be uploaded to the Dickens Society’s official YouTube channel and advertised on its social media accounts following the conference.These short videos will highlight individual research projects that in some way contribute to a greater understanding of the historical and literary impact of Charles John Huffam Dickens (1812-1870). These interviews can be linked to scholars’ own websites and shared through social media platforms, giving them the opportunity to showcase their work as well as demonstrating the breadth of exciting research being undertaken by members of the Society. Process: Fill out and submit the completed form to Lydia Craig at lcraig1@luc.edu. If your application is approved, you will be emailed a link to a poll requesting you to list potential times for your interview slot. Once your slot is confirmed, you’ll receive a further email informing you of the place and time of your interview at the conference.
The interviews will be around five minutes long, and will be recorded during the conference. You will be asked to give a short overview of your research based on the answers to the below questions. The interviews will be edited after the event, then submitted to each participant for final approval before dissemination.
