Call for Interview Participants at the 24th Annual Dickens Symposium

Over­view: A se­ries of fil­med in­ter­views will be up­loaded to the Di­ckens Society’s of­fici­al YouTube chan­nel and ad­vertised on its soci­al media ac­counts fol­low­ing the con­feren­ce.These short videos will highlight in­dividu­al re­search pro­jects that in some way con­tribute to a great­er un­derstand­ing of the his­tor­ical and lit­era­ry im­pact of Char­les John Huf­fam Di­ckens (1812-1870). These in­ter­views can be li­nked to scholars’ own web­sites and shared through soci­al media plat­forms, giv­ing them the op­por­tun­ity to show­case their work as well as de­monstrat­ing the breadth of ex­cit­ing re­search being un­der­tak­en by mem­b­ers of the Society. Pro­cess: Fill out and sub­mit the com­pleted form to Lydia Craig at lcraig1@luc.edu. If your applica­tion is approved, you will be em­ailed a link to a poll re­quest­ing you to list poten­ti­al times for your in­ter­view slot. Once your slot is con­fir­med, you’ll re­ceive a furth­er email in­form­ing you of the place and time of your in­ter­view at the con­fer­ence.

The in­ter­views will be around five minutes long, and will be re­cor­ded dur­ing the con­fer­ence. You will be asked to give a short over­view of your re­search based on the an­sw­ers to the below ques­tions. The in­ter­views will be edited after the event, then sub­mit­ted to each par­ticipant for final approv­al be­fore dis­semina­tion.
